On the Road Again

Because we didn't get enough last weekend, we're headed back up to Havasu with the Arellano clan. This time we're going to wait until the kids bedtime to take off tonight so that 1) we don't have to watch 3 disney movies on the way up and 2) Dylan doesn't get all thrown off and think his new bedtime is 11 pm. Gracie cracked me up this morning when she came staggering in my room at 6 am saying "I'm so happy we're FINALLY going back to Havasu! I think me and Grandpa should just live there. Enember Mommy, Grandpa said that?" That girl's hilarious!

Dylan - 4 Months

My little D went for his 4 month appt. today. He's actually almost 4 1/2 months but we couldn't get an appt. until today. He's doing great and is right on target. Current stats: 14lbs. 10oz., 25in. This puts him right at the 55th percentile. Poor guy of course had to get his shots today, so he was pretty out of it for the rest of the afternoon and only woke up to eat, then went right back to sleep.

Memorial Weekend

We spent Memorial Weekend in Havasu, just as we have the past few years. This was Dylan's first trip out and I must say that I think he's a born "River Rat". He was so good and was totally chill the whole day. The minute the boat took off he was fast asleep. Unlike his sister when she was little, he didn't even mind his life jacket.

On Saturday, we headed up to Park Moabi and hung out with the Chairez and Forge families. We had blast relaxing and letting the kids play. My mom decided to stay back at the house this day and kept Dylan, so even I got to "play" a little :)

The one thing that did surprise me was how unbelievably crowded the lake was. If there's a recession going on, you sure couldn't tell here. The channel was as packed as I have ever seen it on a holiday weekend. We were just about touching the boats next to us as we made our ride through it each afternoon. Gracie was just starring at all the crazies on each side and I just had to laugh about how she should never know that her Mom, Dad, Nino and Nina "were" those crazies for many years! LOL!!

Overall we had an awesome weekend. I love that my kids are going to grow up spending so much time out here!

Baptism

Last Sunday we Baptized Dylan. Poor little guy was sick all weekend but was a champ during mass. It ended up being a really hot day, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves at the party afterwards. What's not to enjoy when we've the Taco Guy and beer, right? We are so happy to have Monica and Lydell as his Godparents. I'm really glad we decided to celebrate the way we did with all of our family!
